What a week looks like in each
In Boostcamp you browse the library, follow a program or build your own, and log each set. On Pro, its Pro page says Auto Progression will update your working weights from what you logged.
RIGOR has one path. It asks your goal, your days, your session length and your gym, and builds the plan. Each lift then has a target for every set.
In Boostcamp
- Pick a program from the library, or build your own.
- Log each set, with RPE if you like.
- On Pro, Auto Progression updates the weights.
In RIGOR
- Tell it your goal, your days and your gym.

- Open today's workout; a lift you have logged has its target set.

- Log it; the rules set next time and show why.

Where Boostcamp is better
On price and on choice.
- A free plan. Boostcamp's free-versus-Pro page says the library and tracker have no trial clock and no cap on programs. In RIGOR, starting a workout needs the subscription.
- Choice. 14,000+ programs, 130+ of them coach-designed, per its home page. RIGOR builds one plan; you can swap exercises and change targets, but not browse a library.
- Your own program. Its features page offers a program builder with sets, reps, RPE or percent of 1RM, free.
- Where it runs. iOS and Android. RIGOR has no Android app.
If any of these decides it for you, choose Boostcamp.
Where RIGOR is better
If you want one plan and not a library. RIGOR builds it, sets each target from your log and shows the rule.

- The rule, written out. Boostcamp's Pro page names linear progression, double progression and missed-rep adjustments. RIGOR's double progression is set down in full: reps climb to the top of the range, then the weight moves to the next one your gym can load. Above: 6 reps on every set at 90 kg, so 92.5 kg next.
- Bad days are written in. Hit the reps but find them harder than planned, and the weight holds. Miss reps in two comparable sessions running at the same weight and it comes down 10%.
- A first weight with a rule. With no history for a lift, the weight starts blank and the sheet asks for a weight you can lift. Choose "I know a weight I've used" and RIGOR takes 10% off the max that weight and reps suggest. See what weight to lift.
None of this makes RIGOR the better app for everyone. Boostcamp is the freer app with far more to choose from. RIGOR is for the lifter who wants one plan, a target and the reason. For a similar choice, see RIGOR vs Hevy. Other comparisons: RIGOR vs Alpha Progression, RIGOR vs MacroFactor Workouts and, for classes rather than a plan, Apple Fitness+ alternatives.

Questions
Is Boostcamp free?
Largely, by its own pages. Its free-versus-Pro page says the program library and the tracker have no trial clock. Pro adds Personalized Programs, Auto Progression and more.
How much is Boostcamp Pro?
This page could not confirm it. Boostcamp's own pages and its US App Store listing show different Pro prices, so the one a new user in the United States sees is not clear.
Is there a free Boostcamp alternative?
Not from RIGOR, which has no free plan. For a free tracker, Hevy and Strong each have a free version; Boostcamp itself is free to log with.
What are apps like Boostcamp?
For a library of programs, Hevy has a routine library. For one plan built for you with a rule behind each weight, try RIGOR, on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Does Boostcamp tell you what weight to lift?
On Pro, its pages say Auto Progression updates your working weights from what you logged. On the free plan its pages describe no rule that sets the next weight.
